Research, select and purchase quality products and materials Build relationships with suppliers/vendors/ Farmers and negotiate with them for the best pricing along with quantities and delivery time scales. Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions. • Price & Range Bench-Marking to compete with rivals. • Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels. • Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery. • Coordinate with the category team, replenishment team as required. • Assess the quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to vendors and management. • Establish reliable lines of contact with the field management team to ensure that all field purchase orders are accurate.. • Ensure orders for products are timely and accurate to monitor inventory turns. • Analyze and control product transfers, waste, and spoilage.
