- Conduct experiments in lab and pilot plant, reaction kinetics, reactor modelling and simulation, scale up of catalytic/non-catalytic processes.
- Analysis and interpretation of the experimental/simulation data.
- Process simulation, process optimization, heat and mass balance, PFD.
- Review of the process design packages prepared by licensors or vendors.
- Maintenance of the pilot plants, procurements of spare parts, creation of SOPs for lab and scale up experiments, etc.
- Manage proper disposal of waste chemicals generated in laboratory and pilot plant experiments.
- Coordinate for compliance of safety processes such as applicable HSE procedures/ practices, PHA (process hazard analysis) and PSSR (Prestart up safety review), Risk analysis of new and existing reactors/units/processes, MOC (management of change), etc.
Responsibilities
- Ensure completion of experiments and generate accurate and reproducible data from experiments. Develop relevant models and validation of the same.
- Supervise and execute laboratory / pilot plant experiments pertaining to the relevant research area such as sample preparation using various methods, sample characterization using various analysis & evaluation of the concerned samples.
- Organize facilities for experiments in research such as chemicals, equipment, analytical methods etc.
- Participate in pilot plant operations / studies, utilize results as boundary conditions for model development
- Support to plant operations
- Collect data and conduct relevant analysis
- Uploading reports on portal
- Preparation of Internal Technical Report
